Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated STEM Club Lead Teacher to inspire and educate young learners in our vibrant educational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging STEM activities from our curriculum, fostering curiosity, and creating a supportive classroom atmosphere. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood education while developing students' interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This role would require the candidate to have their own car and be willing to work some Saturdays. Most hours are 4-6pm during the week. Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide 2 references.
Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate STEM activities that stimulate curiosity and critical thinking among young children.
- Manage behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to exploration and discovery.
- Assess individual student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to meet diverse learning needs.
- Foster strong communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure collaborative support for student development.
- Maintain organised lesson plans, classroom resources, and safety protocols at all times.
- Encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity through hands-on experiments and projects.
- Monitor classroom safety and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during all activities.
Experience
- Prior experience in early childhood education or a related field is highly desirable.
- Proven ability in behaviour management within a classroom setting.
- Demonstrated skills in teaching or facilitating STEM-related activities for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- A genuine enthusiasm for inspiring children through innovative educational practices is essential. This role offers an enriching environment where educators can make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys while developing their professional skills within a supportive team.
Pay: From £35.00 per hour
