Location: 90 Ilford Lane, IG1 2LD
Hours of Work: Part-time shifts generally between 10:30 am – 10:30 pm (hours may vary depending on rota and business needs)
Days: 3–4 days per week — Friday, Saturday & Sunday required
Role Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our Front of House (FOH) team.
This is a fast-paced but enjoyable working environment. No previous experience is required, as full training and supervision will be provided from day one. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong team spirit. Retail or customer service experience would be an advantage.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparing the shop before opening
- Maintaining cleanliness of the front-of-house area throughout the day
- Working closely with the back-of-house team to maintain Cake Box standards
- Checking the quality of cakes leaving the shop
- Greeting customers and responding to enquiries with a friendly attitude
- Serving customers and processing payments using the cash register and card machine
- Taking customer cake orders accurately
- Answering phone calls professionally
- Learning how to write messages on cakes
- Properly boxing cakes and slices
- Cashing up at the end of the day
- Supporting end-of-day cleaning duties, including mopping and general tidiness
Skills Required
- Basic computer literacy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach
- Ability to work well in a busy, fast-paced environment
