About the role
We manufacture bespoke furniture for commercial clients. We're looking for a skilled operator to join our timber assembly team.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble bespoke furniture and cabinetry to high quality standards
- Read and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Accurately measure, cut, shape and assemble components to precise dimensions
- Glue, fit and clamp components and sub-assemblies into complete units
- Install and adjust hardware including hinges, drawer runners, catches, locks and handles
- Sand and prepare surfaces and joints for finishing
- Safely operate and maintain woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop in line with health and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a furniture maker, cabinet maker, joiner, or in a similar woodworking role
- Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, hand tools, joinery techniques and timber-based materials
- Ability to work accurately from technical drawings and measurements
- High attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred (occasional site work)”
