Overview
We are seeking professional and vigilant Weekend Event Security Officers (SIA Licensed) to join our team as casual contractors. This role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment at various events during weekends, ensuring the safety of attendees, staff, and property. Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring premises, and providing excellent customer service in a dynamic setting. This position offers flexible working hours on weekends, ideal for individuals committed to delivering high standards of security.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and maintaining a visible presence to deter unauthorised access.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary.
- Enforce venue policies and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the event.
- Assist with crowd control measures to facilitate smooth movement of attendees and prevent overcrowding.
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Licence is essential for this role.
- Prior experience in security is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided where needed.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to recognise potential security risks swiftly.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, event staff, and attendees.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work flexible hours during weekends.
