Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer/Solar Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems and solar energy solutions on residential and commercial properties. You will work closely with project managers and team members to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site. Responsibilities
- Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and appropriate safety equipment, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications
- Assemble, mount, and connect solar panels, inverters, and related electrical components with precision and care
- Conduct inspections of roofing structures and solar installations to identify issues or potential improvements
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair roofing or solar system problems during installation or maintenance phases
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators when necessary for site preparation or material handling
- Perform welding tasks when required for custom metal flashing or structural support components
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for roofing and solar installation tasks
- Mechanical knowledge to understand system components, structural integrity, and troubleshooting techniques
- Electrical experience or background to assist with wiring connections and system testing
- Experience operating excavators or other heavy equipment is a plus
- Welding skills for fabricating metal parts or reinforcing structures are highly desirable
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to roofing, electrical work, welding, and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and installation instructions effectively
