Job Summary
We are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with Joiner experience to join our team in constructing. The ideal candidate will have experience in joinery work, plumbing, electrical etc, specifically within a maintenance and repairs environment, with the ability to work on a range of projects.
A Hebs Group Ltd Van is provided, along with fuel card and all tools required for jobs. Due to insurance restrictions all drivers of company vehicles must be over 24 years of age, please confirm this during your application.
The Hebs Group Ltd Head Office and Warehouse is situated at 4 - 6 St Johns Road, Waterloo, Crosby, L22 9QG - however our maintenance works service various clients across the Northwest.
Duties
- Multi-skilled experience in repair, maintenance and refurbishment.
- Ability to assemble, install and repair fixtures, fittings and components.
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Ability to complete jobs from start to finish, including painting and decorating, particularly on wooden components.
- Experience installing security devices such as Digilocks into wooden fixtures.
- Competent and safe use of power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to work independently and complete jobs to a high standard.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, with advance notice.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to health, safety and quality standards
Experience
- NVQ level 2 / City and Guilds qualifications in key trades (Plumbing, Carpentry, Plastering, Joinery etc)
- Skilled in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience as a Joiner, ideally in a maintenance/repair setting
- Proficiency in using a variety of power tools
- Strong knowledge of joinery and repair techniques
- Capability to work on roofs and handle heavy lifting tasks
- Comfortable working alone or as part of a team
- Full Driving License
Desirable
- Previous work on and/or knowledge regarding fire door safety regulations
