Part-Time Front of House Team Member
Bonsai Plant Kitchen is an award-winning, 100% vegan, Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant in Brighton.
We’re looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our team for approximately 15–20 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will:
* Be reliable, flexible and willing to pick up additional cover shifts when needed.

* Be confident and friendly when speaking with guests.
* Be keen to learn and develop a strong understanding of our food, drinks and ethos.
* Be comfortable appearing in or helping with social media content from time to time.
* Work well as part of a small, close-knit team and stay calm during busy services.
* Have good attention to detail and take pride in keeping the restaurant clean, organised and running smoothly.
The role includes:
* Looking after tables from arrival through to departure and ensuring every guest has the best experience possible.
* Talking guests through the menu, taking orders and making recommendations.
* Running food and drinks and confidently explaining dishes to guests.
* Clearing, cleaning and relaying tables throughout service.
* Learning and working on the bar, including preparing cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks.
* Developing a strong knowledge of our food, cocktails, wines and other drinks.
* Helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the restaurant.
* Assisting with opening and closing the restaurant.
* Supporting the wider team wherever needed during service.
Previous restaurant experience is not essential. What matters most to us is a positive attitude, reliability, the ability to learn quickly and a genuine willingness to improve.
Previous bar or cocktail-making experience is preferred, but full training can be provided for the right person.
We have a lot of fun at Bonsai, but we also take a huge amount of pride in what we do and expect everyone in the team to care about delivering a consistently high standard of hospitality.

Pay starting at minimum + TRONC (averaging an extra £2.5-£3.5 per hour)
