We are currently seeking applications for the position of Trainee Production Operative within our Rollform team based at our Sheffield Head Office. The role would suit someone who is looking to take their first step into a manufacturing environment or build on previous experience and who can learn complex processes quickly as well as demonstrate attention to detail and good organisation skills
37.5 hours per week worked 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday with flexibility to work an afternoon shift as and when required.
Salary range £24,785 to £25,545, depending on experience with the opportunity to develop further.

Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the Rollform function, this could be:
· Mill running (Various)
· Slitting Machine
· Laminating Line
· Supplying
· Setting of machine after roll change (Only after extended training)
- Mill Running
- Ability to operate multiple Mills
- Competent to fault find and report issues to Setter or Maintenance
- Understanding of Inspection criteria
- Carry out the 1 or 2 person change-over process
- Involvement in any tests and trials with RMS
- Setting (After extended training)
- Filling in correct paperwork for specific duty
- Laminating
- Competent in foil slitting operation
- Competent in Laminating process, including roll changes, glue barrel changes
- Filling in correct paperwork for specific duty
- Supplying
- Operate a FLT
- Knowledge of various componentry within Rollform
- Checking and replenishment of Lineside Kanban’s
- Loading & unloading of uncoilers in a safe manner
- Filling in correct paperwork for specific duty
Key Skills & Qualifications Required
· Organised / detailed & planned approach
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Ability to understand and interpret production documentation
· Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Physically fit
· Fork Lift Truck licence would be an advantage
· Flexibility within manufacturing operations
· Understand principles of Manual Handling
