We are an Independently owned & managed Hotel with 80 guestrooms, one part of the hotel building is historically linked to Grahamston Village of 1680. The hotel has been extended over the years and is very well maintained. The Skilled Maintenance Assistant will be part of a small maintenance team, working closely with the Head Housekeepers and report to the Maintenance Supervisor & Hotel Manager to ensure all maintenance issues are resolved throughout each day. Training in compliance and completing documentation shall be provided.
Duties: Fix small repairs throughout the Hotel & carry out light maintenance tasks such as plumbing, painting and decorating, room refreshes, changing light bulbs, sanitizing shower heads carrying out visual inspections on fire sounders in the Hotel bedrooms etc. To action all maintenance requests as soon as possible as informed by the Reception / House Keeping wherever relevant, provide a personalized service to guests to comply with any reasonable requests by Management
Undertaking reactive maintenance tasks to high quality standards including basic plumbing and joinery.
Some painting and decorating - mainly snagging.
Moving furniture and heavy items across the buildings.
Health and safety checks throughout the hotel
Requirement : Previous experience of working within a similar role is an advantage
