Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our New retail unit for our New Southend store. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for retail management. The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales, maintaining merchandising standards, and fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Organise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimise sales opportunities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
- Conduct staff training programmes focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming store environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Analyse sales data and prepare reports for senior management to inform decision-making
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail sector, including supervising teams and managing daily operations
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
- Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative duties within a retail environment
- Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and team members
- Proficiency in time management to meet deadlines and optimise store performance
- Ability to motivate staff, foster teamwork, and lead by example
- Organisational skills to manage stock levels, schedules, and administrative responsibilities efficiently
- Previous experience in retail management or related fields is desirable
