Key Responsibilities
- You’ll support delivery of construction and maintenance projects, providing technical advice, direction, support and assistance to key internal and external stakeholders to enable them to manage their environmental duties and responsibilities.
- You’ll develop and monitor environmental, carbon, biodiversity, and waste management plans.
- You’ll work autonomously and pro-actively to engage and influence key stakeholders (operations teams, clients, regulators etc.)
- You’ll liaise with Regulators and assist with obtaining environmental permits, consents, licenses, and exemptions.
- You’ll create and support teams with technical reports and plans, sustainable practices, and bring in innovation and training.
- You’ll lead environmental incident investigations, and support/advise on preventative and corrective actions.
- You’ll carry out audits of processes, operational activities, and supply chain.
You’ll analyse waste, energy, carbon and environmental statistics and information monthly.

What they’ll bring – Key skills, qualifications and experience
- Environmental experience in the Highways/Construction sector
- Degree level in appropriate environmental discipline or relevant qualifications.
- Full UK Driving licence and willingness to travel
- Professional memberships of ISEP (or equivalent) at the appropriate level
