Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Software Delivery Manager to lead our software development projects from inception to successful delivery. Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end software delivery initiatives, ensuring projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget expectations using methodologies such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and Waterfall.
- Coordinate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define clear project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans utilizing tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, TFS (Team Foundation Server), and SharePoint to track progress and facilitate communication.
- Oversee the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), including analysis skills, test-driven development practices, and user acceptance testing to guarantee high-quality outputs.
- Manage release planning and deployment activities, including release management and disaster recovery strategies to minimize risks.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, clients, and vendors through strong negotiation skills and organizational skills.
- Monitor project performance metrics, prepare status reports, and adjust plans proactively using project management software to ensure timely delivery.
- Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies by analyzing potential issues related to cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Oracle databases.
- Promote best practices in program management by implementing Kanban or other Agile frameworks for continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience managing complex software delivery projects within a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of SDLC processes, requirements gathering, test case creation, and user acceptance testing procedures.
- Strong familiarity with project management tools including Microsoft Project, Jira, TFS, Visio, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Oracle Cloud is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams across multiple projects with a focus on collaboration and motivation.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with time management capabilities to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Experience working within frameworks like SAFe or Kanban; familiarity with Waterfall methodology is a plus.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders while maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation ensures resilience in project delivery.
