The College of Health and Science is a vibrant and ambitious College with a keen focus on supporting and developing professional services colleagues. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as Deputy School Manager in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
Working closely with the School Manager, Head of School, and other colleagues, you will oversee the day-to-day professional services operations of the School, ensuring that regulations, policies, and processes are applied consistently and effectively. You will collaborate with academic and professional services teams to deliver projects to enhance the student experience, support the academic journey, and deliver the School's strategic aims. You will also act as a key point of contact for a range of external partners, including employers, industrial partners, and professional bodies.
We're looking for candidates who are proactive in identifying opportunities for service improvements, who will coordinate with others to develop and implement improvements. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator who can build strong and effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both within the University and externally.
In support of our commitment to developing colleagues by providing opportunities for internal movement and promotion, applications for this opportunity will only be accepted from people who are currently employed by the University of Lincoln, our current students, and any currently engaged agency workers who have been with us for more than 12 weeks. These roles could be offered as secondment opportunities, subject to discussions with candidates’ current departments.
This is a varied role at the heart of School operations, offering the opportunity to shape services, work closely with the School's leadership team, and contribute to strategic priorities.
If you would like further information or an informal discussion about this role, please contact Nichola Smith, School Manager, at [email protected].
