We are looking for fully qualified Electrical Engineers/Electricians with Competent Person and/or Authorised Person training. Applicants should be working towards, or have completed, an HNC/HND.
You will have a key role in our Estates Operational Team, managing day‑to‑day planned and reactive engineering maintenance, as well as supporting minor and medium project works.
As a valued member of the team, you’ll help ensure a safe, compliant and efficient environment for our clinical and support services—bringing strong engineering maintenance experience, a solid understanding of compliance, risk assessments and health & safety.
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, aligned with Sheffield Children’s values, and holding a full UK driving licence. You’ll report directly to the Senior Estates Manager.

Management of planned maintenance works on Trust premises.
Inspection of plant to ensure proper function and troubleshooting where necessary.
Preparation of cost plans for repairs or replacements
The development and review of planned maintenance procedures.
Provide assurance that the Trust is compliant with its statutory and regulatory estates requirements.
You’ll be fully supported and closely supervised initially, with structured opportunities to expand your knowledge and take ownership of a wider range of duties as you progress.
