Aspen Hill Village is a Residential and Nursing facility in Hunslet, Leeds. We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Manager who is ready to ensure a smooth operation of all areas of the housekeeping department to support the elderly.
General Duties:
· To ensure a smooth operation of all areas of the Housekeeping department.
· To help with the induction and training of all new Housekeeping assistants as needed
· Overseeing stocktakes, budgets and other paperwork, such as safety audits
· Work as part of the total Care Home Team, liaising with all other departments and attending/ conducting all relevant meetings
· Planning rotas for the housekeeping staff to ensure the home have all areas supported
· To ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to, including Health & Safety and Fire Safety etc
· To ensure that the correct usage, storage and care of laundry equipment is carried out by housekeepers, in accordance with COSHH regulations
· To ensure all standards are met in Housekeeping areas and high mark achieved in any internal/external audit
· To develop and implement action plans to address any short falls in standard
· To ensure new housekeepers receive support on the job, particularly throughout first 3 months’ probation period
· To delegate the workload fairly in relation to the staff structure.
· To maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies
· To appraise staff on a regular basis and maintain a stable, motivated work force.
· To ensure that the company COVID-19 policy is adhered to and all standards are met.
· To complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists fully as required and ensure they are filed and communicated to relevant personnel.
· To be familiar with all emergency procedures and act positively both in the event of an emergency and to prevent one.
· To build relationships with all other staff and residents
Person Specification:
· To remain compliant with all mandatory training
· Strong timekeeping skills.
· Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· To be presentable in the workplace following the company’s uniform policy

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
Pay: £14.50 per hour
