Apprenticeship Opportunities in Early Years Education
Locations: Swadlincote
At Our Monkey Club, we’re more than just an early years setting. We’re a community that believes in child-directed, play-based learning, underpinned by thoughtful, evidence-based practice. We are looking for passionate apprentices who are eager to immerse themselves in this approach, whether you are just starting your career or already have experience and are ready to take the next step.
We have exciting opportunities for an apprentice at our Belvedere Road setting. This role offers the chance to gain a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner qualification, depending on your current experience.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 Apprenticeship: This is ideal for those at the beginning of their early years journey. You may have no prior experience or qualifications but are eager to develop a meaningful career in early childhood education.
- Level 5 Apprenticeship: If you already hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or a related field such as Health and Social Care or Residential Care) and are looking to step up into a leadership role, this could be your next step.
We welcome individuals who are curious about the learning process and passionate about creating nurturing, play-rich environments where children thrive. Your role will involve working closely with children and families, while being fully supported by our experienced team to help you develop into an expert practitioner.
What You’ll Gain:
- A clear pathway for career progression and nationally recognised qualifications in Early Years.
- Hands-on experience in a dynamic, play-based learning environment across multiple settings.
- An opportunity to work with a team that is committed to continuous professional development, reflective practice, and child-centred pedagogy.
- Exposure to our ethos of fostering secure, positive relationships with children to support their development and well-being.
You will be part of a supportive environment where your growth and learning are a priority. We believe in investing in our staff so that, together, we can deliver the best possible outcomes for the children in our care.
What You’ll Bring:
- A genuine interest in early years education and a desire to engage with our play-based, process-oriented approach.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and a commitment to creating positive learning experiences.
- Curiosity, flexibility, and a desire to learn within a supportive team environment.
Details:
- Hours: 30 hours a week, Term time only
- Locations: Swadlincote (you will spend time at other settings during your time to enhance your learning and experience).
- Salary: Apprenticeship salary in line with the level of qualification pursued.
To apply, please send your CV and a brief message telling us why you want to pursue this apprenticeship with Our Monkey Club, and what draws you to early years education. We’d love to hear what you hope to gain from the role and how we can help you grow.
