UEC Mechanical Engineering Ltd is recruiting experienced Pipefitters for a long-term engineering project within a major industrial facility in the Immingham area.
- Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, engineering drawings and technical instructions.
- Measure, cut, prepare and form pipework and associated components to the required dimensions.
- Prepare and position pipework, fittings and flanges for welding, ensuring correct alignment, orientation, gaps and cleanliness.
- Check pipe preparations, tack-welded joints, flange alignment, straightness and dimensional accuracy.
- Assemble and install prefabricated pipe sections, supports, valves and associated equipment on site.
- Use oxy-fuel heating and cutting equipment and other relevant tools and machinery safely.
- Assist with slinging, lifting, fire-watch and standby duties where trained and authorised.
- Follow all permits, risk assessments, method statements and site safety procedures.
- Check tools and equipment before use and report any faults or defects.
- Work alongside Welders, Supervisors and other trades to meet the project programme.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
- NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport.
- Previous pipefitting experience within a refinery, petrochemical, power generation or similar heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings.
- Experience with high- and low-pressure pipework, flange make-up, alignment and installation.
- Strong understanding of pipework quality requirements and dimensional accuracy.
- Strong understanding of permit-to-work systems and industrial site safety requirements.
- Ability to consistently work to demanding quality standards.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.

Pay: NAECI rates of pay, including the applicable payments stated above
Hours: 44 hours per week - 9.5 hours Monday to Thursday and 6 hours on Friday
