Popina is a wine/cocktail and charcuterie bar built around the pleasure of sharing. We bring together carefully chosen wines, artisan cured meats, cheeses and small plates designed for grazing. We are a venue where guests can join us for a single glass or settle in to explore a bottle and a table full of plates. On Friday and Saturday nights, Popina takes on a different rhythm, with a resident DJ and doors open until 1am.
The Role:
We don’t do rigid job titles. At Popina, our front-of-house team runs the entire guest experience. This is a dynamic, hybrid role where you won't be stuck doing just one thing. In a single shift, you might be guiding a table through our premium wine list, jumping behind the deli counter to assemble a luxury Italian charcuterie board, and pouring a perfect cocktail.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Guest Experience: Welcoming guests, explaining our "Roman Wine Route" and Mediterranean menu concepts, and providing attentive, relaxed table service.
- Food Prep: This is a 100% cold-assembly kitchen (no fryers, no hobs!). You will be trained to build visually stunning sharing boards using meats, cheeses, and local produce.
- Bar & Wine Service: Pouring high-volume draft beers, mixing classic cocktails, and wines by the glass.
- Venue Flow: Maintaining the pristine look of the bar, managing the floor, and ensuring the weekend late-night transitions into a vibrant, DJ-led atmosphere.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Adaptable & Energetic: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are happy to jump between the floor, the bar, and the prep station wherever you are needed most.
- Food & Drink Passion: You don't need to be a master sommelier, but you must be eager to learn about our artisan suppliers, dry-cured meats, and European wines.
- Team Player: You understand that in a premium venue, we all wash glasses, we all run food, and we all take care of the guests.
- Experience: Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but attitude, personality, and a willingness to learn our hybrid system are the most important things to us.
