We are a small family run business with 7 nurseries, 2 in Laindon, 2 in Colchester, 1 in Chelmsford, 1 in Brentwood and 1 soon to open in Billericay. We are looking for an experienced area manager to work alongside the directors to ensure the highest quality in nursery care. Candidates will only be considered with a minimum Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare and with at least 5 years experience, including management. Our nurseries are based between the Colchester and Basildon areas however this role it is necessary to be located near or in Basildon.

Main duties include:
1. To oversee the nurseries and ensure that all areas of the Statutory Framework are being met
2. To liaise with the directors on a daily basis to discuss all matters pertaining to the nurseries
3. Attend regular meetings both with the directors and managers
4. To visit all nurseries on a regular basis
5. Oversee and check time sheets for all nurseries before submission
6. To ensure all paperwork within the nurseries is compliant and accurate and that systems put in place by Munchkins are operational
7. To support managers
8. To ensure all nurseries are compliant with GDPR regulations
9. Oversee quality and assurance
10. Oversee and advise on any SEN and safeguarding issues within the nurseries, including SEN paperwork and funding
11. To be responsible for all aspects of people management, including the welfare, counselling and discipline of all nursery staff.
12. To be responsible for recruitment, appraisal, training and development, as well as allocating and monitoring the work of all nursery staff, ensuring managers are compliant.
13. Proactively review and update all nursery policy and procedures ensuring staff are informed of changes.
14. To ensure the maintenance of consistently high standards in early education and childcare. Develop and maintain systems which support quality standards and ensure a coherent and systematic approach to planning and delivery of quality provision of relevant legislation and guidance, including but not exclusive to the implementation of the EYFS
