We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Founded in 1871, today Garsons is an award-winning destination Garden Centre, Farm Shop and Restaurant with locations in Esher, Surrey and Titchfield, Hampshire. Garsons Esher is also home to one of the UK's largest pick-your-own farms.
What does the role involve?
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen and back-of-house operations run smoothly and efficiently while meeting the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correct use, safe handling and security of all equipment used within the Kitchen.
- Assist the Head Chef to ensure standards are consistently met.
- Washing of dishes and the provision of required equipment to the Kitchen and Front of House.
- Maintenance of a neat and hygienic dish washing area at all times.
- Alignment to Company and Statutory Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.
- Attend any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep of the kitchen equipment e.g. turning off and cleaning dishwashers.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns.
Contract: This is a permanent, full-time role.
Hours: Working hours and shift pattern to be confirmed via a rota-basis. Will include weekend working. Approximately 40 hours per week.
