Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference?
We are seeking an enthusiastic PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Mold. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with complex learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
- Assist with personal care where required, ensuring students' dignity and wellbeing are always maintained.
- Support students with communication, sensory activities, and engagement in lessons.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to deliver personalised learning plans.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly PMLD, is desirable.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to support students with personal care needs.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant or care qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
