The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes - Sizewell C - a once-in-a-generation clean energy project that will help power over 6 million homes for decades to come.
Working within the Civil Works Alliance (a partnership between Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke), you'll support the delivery of cutting-edge digital engineering solutions across a major nuclear construction programme.
As a Digital Engineer, you'll work closely with the Digital Engineering Manager and wider project teams to develop and maintain high-quality digital models and data-driven outputs that support construction planning, coordination and delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about digital construction, BIM and emerging technologies to develop their career on a nationally significant project.
What You'll Be Doing
Producing, maintaining and federating 3D models using tools such as Tekla Structures, Navisworks and Civil 3D
Supporting construction teams with visual planning outputs including 4D sequencing, buildability reviews and method statement visualisations
Coordinating digital engineering activities across engineering, planning and site delivery teams
Supporting model quality checking, clash detection and model data management
Assisting with the delivery of graphical and non-graphical information in line with BIM execution plans and ISO 19650 standards
Supporting the development and implementation of digital engineering processes, standards and workflows
Working within a Common Data Environment (CDE) to manage project information effectively
Supporting digital upskilling across project teams and supply chain partners
Assisting with the development of 4D, 5D and asset information modelling processes throughout the project lifecycle
What We're Looking For
Experience working in a Digital Engineering, BIM or similar construction technology role
Knowledge of 3D and 4D modelling within major construction or infrastructure projects
Experience using software such as Tekla Structures, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar platforms
Understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and ISO 19650 principles
Experience working within a Common Data Environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop within a major project environment
Synchro and/or Solibri experience would be beneficial, but not essential
