Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker (female) who can drive to provide essential care and assistance to children in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging atmosphere, ensuring the well-being and development of adult . This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact within a caring team, supporting children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Duties
- Assist adult with daily activities, including personal care, meal times, and recreational activities
- Implement and follow individualised care plans to support specific user needs
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote confidence and independence
- Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour, and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals regarding service user development and wellbeing
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in childcare and support work
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, and team members
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while adapting to individual needs
- Driving skills are advantageous for supporting outings or appointments outside the organisation
- Good IT skills for maintaining records, updating care plans, and communicating via digital platforms
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in child development and wellbeing
- Organised approach to managing daily tasks efficiently whilst prioritising safety and quality of care
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
