Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SUPERVISOR to oversee the daily operations of a newly refurbed pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality and restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining high standards of quality, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including staff management, stock control, and customer service excellence.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Ensure responsible serving of alcohol in accordance with licensing laws and company policies.
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints professionally, and foster a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service alongside beverage offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably in a bar setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations applicable to hospitality establishments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
- Previous experience in hotel or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to handle customer service issues professionally while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
