Job Title: Night Porter (Part-Time)
Location: Lansdown Grove Hotel
Shifts: 2 per week. Extra may be required.
Salary: £12.71 per hour
The Role
Are you a "night owl" with a passion for hospitality? We are looking for a reliable, observant, and welcoming Night Porter to join our team. While the rest of the world sleeps, you will be the face of our hotel—ensuring our guests feel safe, our premises remain secure, and our morning team starts their day on the right foot.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Handle late-night check-ins and early-morning check-outs with a warm, professional manner.
- Security: Conduct regular floor walks and security checks to maintain a safe environment for all guests.
- Light Maintenance/Cleaning: Ensure the lobby and public areas remain pristine; set up meeting rooms or breakfast areas as required.
- Emergency Response: Act as the designated point of contact for fire safety or first aid during the night shift.
- Audit: Run the nightly audit and prepare for the following day for the front of house team.
What We’re Looking For
- Trustworthiness: You’ll be working independently for much of your shift, so reliability is non-negotiable.
- The "Night Owl" Mentality: Someone who thrives on a nocturnal schedule and maintains high energy levels until dawn.
- Communication: Fluent English is essential to assist guests and provide clear handovers to the morning staff. Additional language would be a great bonus as we have a very diverse clientele.
- Experience: Previous experience in hospitality or security is a plus, but we value attitude and personality above all else.
