We’re looking for a Graduate/Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) is required for the demolition and earthworks contracting team. This is a full time position based at our office in Eversley, Hampshire but involves travelling to a number of sites. The size, complexity and geographical location of the projects vary considerably
Key Responsibilities:
- Small Works – Working closely with the Contract Managers to commercially manage small-scale projects from handover to final account.
- Subcontractor Procurement – In coordination with the rest of the commercial team, send out tender enquires, assess quotes, and nominate subcontractors.
- Subcontractor Management - In coordination with the rest of the commercial team, raise orders for subcontractors and suppliers, and assess and process applications for payment.
- Site Visits – When required, attend site to observe the works and gather information, be it photos, copies of tickets, or site diaries.
- Document Management – Ensure all contract documents are filed in the appropriate place, including applications for payment, certificates, instructions, etc.
- Assist Commercial Coordinator – Aid the Commercial Coordinator in their day-to-day tasks, including raising invoices, uploading figures into the accounting software.
- Maintain good relationships with clients, consultants and colleagues.
The Successful candidate will have:
- Quantity surveying degree or relevant work experience.
- IT proficiency (Microsoft Office).
- Attention to detail and care for presentation of work.
- A desire to learn and develop
- Full UK Driving Licence
