CNC Alloy Wheel Technician
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 15:00-01:00 (60-minute unpaid break) and Friday, 15:00-19:00 (40 hours per week)
Salary: £16.36 per hour (£34,028.80 per year)
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Alloy Wheel Technician to join a busy automotive preparation centre in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern bodyshop, working with one of the UK's leading automotive businesses refurbishing alloy wheels to the highest standards.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with experience operating CNC diamond cut machinery and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
The Role:
As a CNC Alloy Wheel Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating CNC diamond cut machinery to refurbish alloy wheels.
- Preparing alloy wheels prior to machining and refurbishment.
- Painting and refinishing alloy wheels to a high standard.
- Inspecting finished wheels to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues with machinery and wheel repairs.
- Maintaining CNC machinery and equipment in line with operational procedures.
- Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
The Person:
- Previous experience operating CNC diamond cut alloy wheel machinery is essential.
- Experience refurbishing alloy wheels within an automotive environment is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Able to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
