Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy goods vehicle equipped with a tipper mechanism, delivering animal feed and aggregates to various sites. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your commitment to safety and efficiency, will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle with tipper functionality, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Load, secure, and deliver construction materials or aggregates to designated locations efficiently
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including delivery notes and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transit operations
- Assist with unloading materials at delivery sites when required, ensuring proper handling and placement
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driving professional, specifically with tipper vehicles
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations for heavy goods vehicles (HGV) Class 1 license holder
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and a commitment to safety
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
- Physical stamina for loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
