Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and enjoy a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food and beverage operations, contributing to the overall success of our establishment. There will be more hours available at our sister hotel Riverside in Harnham .
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and serving food and drinks promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including dining spaces, kitchens, and storage facilities.
- Support catering events by setting up, serving, and clearing away food and beverages as required.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, providing solutions to enhance their experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or catering environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with restaurant or bartending operations is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A proactive attitude towards helping colleagues and guests alike is essential
