We are looking for a detail-focused and commercially minded Estimator to join our team in Earls Colne, Essex.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with estimating, building design or construction-related experience who enjoys working with technical drawings, producing accurate quotations and communicating with customers. Full training can be provided where required.
You will play an important role in ensuring customer enquiries are assessed accurately and quotations are produced professionally, competitively and within required timescales.

Evaluate technical drawings and produce accurate take-offs and mark-ups.

Prepare accurate quotations that reflect customer requirements.

Communicate professionally with customers by telephone and email, responding to queries promptly.

Monitor your workload and prioritise enquiries in consultation with the Estimating Supervisor.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of enquiries and quotations using the company's internal 4P system.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to support the wider objectives of the business.

Develop an understanding of the company's production processes by spending occasional time within our on-site manufacturing facilities.

Consider material and labour costs when preparing quotations.

Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Estimating Supervisor.
Desirable

Experience using Bluebeam.

Experience with CAD software such as Autodesk

Previous experience in estimating, building design or a related construction/manufacturing environment is preferred.

Experience interpreting technical drawings would be advantageous.

Previous experience within building design, construction, manufacturing or pre-cast concrete.

Training can be provided for candidates who have the right attitude, aptitude and transferable skills.
