Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Kitchen Helper / Waiter / Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic restaurant environment. The successful candidate will support kitchen operations and provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks to ensure smooth operation during service
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen stations
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Take orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash transactions with basic math skills
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Support the team in setting up tables, clearing dishes, and resetting areas for new guests
- Provide friendly guest services, addressing customer needs promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving protocols, guest services, and upselling strategies will be beneficial
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during service hours
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of customer care
