Connect Appointments is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join an established technical manufacturing business based in Forfar.
Our client is part of an established international manufacturing group, operating a large production facility in Angus with a strong reputation for quality and innovation across their sector.

Full-time permanent position

Up to £50,000 per annum

Three shift rotation across days, backs and nights:

Day shift: 07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00

Back shift: 15:00 to 23:00 or 16:00 to 00:00
-
Night shift: 00:00 to 08:00
-
48-hour on-call period required one weekend in five
As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

Organising and prioritising maintenance work on a shift-by-shift basis

Installation of plant and machinery
-
Conducting preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns

Carrying out portable appliance testing
-
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times
To be considered as a Maintenance Engineer, you will need:
-
A time-served electrical background or educated to Higher National Certificate or City and Guilds level
-
Additional training or knowledge in the mechanical discipline is advantageous
- Working knowledge of current Electrical Regulations

The ability to work on your own initiative with strong communication skills
