KITCHEN ASSISTANT
Bradwell Hall Nursing Home is currently seeking to recruit a competent Kitchen Assistant to work within the busy main kitchen within their large Nursing Home based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
As our Kitchen Assistant you will have experience of working within a food establishment or will have previously worked in a busy kitchen.
The Kitchen Assistant duties will include:
Prepping food for daily meals including breakfast, lunch and tea in the main kitchen, providing food for Bradwell Hall Nursing Home and Woodview Care Home residents.
· Pot washing, general cleaning and all other kitchen duties as deemed appropriate.
· Ensure daily cleaning sheets are filled out, checked and signed at the end of each shift.
· Document any changes in ingredients if there is a menu change.
· Food temperatures to be checked and documented before leaving the kitchen.
· Ensure food is labelled and dated.
· Food to be rotated on a daily basis to include the Fridge, Freezer and stores etc.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week
40 hrs per week, 7:00am - 17.00pm
Please note: A full DBS disclosure will be required if successful at interview stage.
We will provide additional training and a uniforms for the successful applicants.
