We are seeking an experienced and motivated Powder Coating Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of our powder coating facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production, maintaining quality standards, supervising staff, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of both manual and automated powder coating lines.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with a strong background in powder coating processes and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the powder coating department.
- Manage both manual and automated powder coating lines to maximise productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor pretreatment, powder application, and curing processes.
- Lead, train, and develop operatives within the department.
- Plan workloads and allocate resources to meet production schedules.
- Carry out quality inspections and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience supervising a powder coating operation.
- Strong knowledge of both manual and automated powder coating lines.
- Experience with pretreatment processes and curing ovens.
- Excellent understanding of powder coating quality standards and testing procedures.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Health and safety awareness within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable Requirements
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
