Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that vehicles are in optimal condition for our customers. The Automotive Technician will work closely with clients to provide exceptional customer service while utilising various tools and equipment.
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment and schematics.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Assemble components and systems according to specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during the repair process.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems and schematics.
- Experience in equipment repair and maintenance is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively interact with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs.
- Welding skills are an advantage but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
