The Role
We are looking for a Production Operative to join our manufacturing team in Thatcham.
You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality metal assemblies, supporting the construction of bus and cycle shelters and other transport infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with practical experience in manufacturing or metalwork, who takes pride in quality, accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out drilling and tapping of metal assemblies
- Ensure all work meets high quality standards and accuracy requirements
- Follow health & safety procedures and use PPE correctly
- Collaborate with the production, technical and quality teams
- Occasionally support cross-functional improvement projects and training
About You
Essential:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Good working knowledge of metal assemblies and production processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or documentation

Working Hours
Typically between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, depending on workload and project needs.
Additional hours may be required, with paid overtime.
