Marketing, Events & Business Development CoordinatorRosa Twelve – Low Fell, Gateshead
Salary: £25,000–£30,000 per annum FTE, pro rata depending on experience
Initially 4 days per week | Approximately 30–32 hours
Permanent | Primarily venue-based
About Rosa Twelve
Rosa Twelve is an established independent restaurant and events venue in the heart of Low Fell, combining food, drinks, private functions, entertainment and hospitality within a distinctive three-floor venue.
As we continue to develop the business, we're creating a new commercially focused role for someone with the energy, organisation and initiative to help us increase awareness, develop events, generate enquiries and ultimately bring more customers through our doors.
This is not simply a social media position and not a traditional administrative role.
We're looking for someone who can turn ideas into action and activity into measurable business.
The Role
Based principally at Rosa Twelve and reporting to the General Manager, you'll work closely with our on-site management and wider team while taking ownership of a range of marketing, events and business-development activity.
You'll be expected to understand the venue, interact with guests, identify opportunities and build relationships both inside and outside the business.
Your focus will include developing events and functions, generating and converting enquiries, building local and corporate relationships, coordinating marketing and social media activity, strengthening customer engagement and finding practical ways to increase footfall, repeat visits and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate events, functions and promotional activities.
- Generate, manage and follow up event and private-hire enquiries.
- Help convert enquiries and prospective customers into confirmed bookings.
- Build relationships with local businesses, organisations, groups and community partners.
- Proactively identify new business and partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate social media, digital marketing and promotional activity.
- Help create engaging campaigns, content and communications.
- Develop customer databases, mailing lists and repeat-business initiatives.
- Encourage customer reviews, loyalty and referrals.
- Monitor local activity, competitors and emerging opportunities.
- Help develop seasonal campaigns, particularly Christmas, celebrations and key trading occasions.
- Work with management to improve awareness and quieter-period footfall.
- Maintain organised records of leads, contacts, enquiries and follow-ups.
- Provide straightforward weekly updates on activity, opportunities, results and next steps.
- Be visible within the venue and engage with guests and the operational team.
- Support key events and trading periods where your involvement adds value.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience across one or more of:
Hospitality Events Sales Marketing Business Development Venue Promotion Community Engagement Customer Relationship Management
You should be someone who:
- Is energetic, personable and commercially aware.
- Is confident approaching and building relationships with people and businesses.
- Can generate ideas and follow them through.
- Is organised and capable of managing several projects simultaneously.
- Communicates confidently in person, by telephone and in writing.
- Understands social media and digital marketing.
- Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
- Enjoys being part of a hospitality environment.
- Is motivated by achieving tangible results rather than simply completing tasks.
Previous restaurant, hotel, events or hospitality experience would be particularly useful.
A driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous.
This Is a Results-Driven Role
We want the successful candidate to have genuine freedom to contribute ideas — but also ownership for turning those ideas into results.
We'll agree clear priorities and regularly review areas such as:
- Events and campaigns developed.
- New business contacts and partnerships.
- Enquiries generated and followed up.
- Conversion into confirmed bookings.
- Social and customer engagement.
- Repeat business.
- Increased awareness and footfall.
- Forward pipeline of opportunities.
We don't expect everything to happen overnight. We do expect energy, consistency, initiative and follow-through.
Working Pattern
We currently envisage the role being based around four full days per week, approximately 30–32 hours, with some flexibility around events, meetings and key trading periods.
The role will be principally based at Rosa Twelve rather than home-based, as we believe developing a hospitality business requires genuine interaction with its guests, team and day-to-day operation.
The position and working pattern will be reviewed after approximately 12–13 weeks, taking account of progress, results, workload and the ongoing needs of the business.
There may subsequently be opportunities to support our sister venue, The Bank, Low Fell, and other hospitality projects as the wider business develops.
What We Offer
- £25,000–£30,000 FTE, pro rata depending on experience.
- Initially four days per week.
- A varied role with genuine responsibility and ownership.
- Opportunity to influence the development of an established independent hospitality business.
- Scope for the position to grow alongside the business.
- Staff food/discount benefits.
- Support from the General Manager and wider management team.

If you're someone who enjoys making things happen and can demonstrate how you've previously helped generate business, develop events, increase engagement, market a venue or convert opportunities into revenue, we'd particularly like to hear from you.
