Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a customer service representative and technical expert within the Education Services Office, delivering individual career, academic, and professional development counseling to military members, dependents, and civilian personnel pursuing undergraduate, graduate, vocational, and licensure opportunities. The incumbent provides specialized guidance on Air Force Tuition Assistance procedures and educational programs, while cross-training across the Education and Training Section to ensure seamless Continuity of Operations Plans.
Qualifications and Key skills

1. Knowledge of the voluntary education programs, their objectives, policies, procedures and requirements.
2. Knowledge of data systems as they pertain to training and education data management.
3. Knowledge of various office automation software, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents, such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs; a qualified typist is required.
4. Ability to plan and organize work independently.
5. Skill in preparing written forms, schedules and reports relating to education and training programs.
6. Ability to read and interpret specific procedural guidelines pertaining to administrative support, including locally developed equipment operating and document processing instructions, which are directly applicable to the work.
7. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, using tact and courtesy.

1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. This position may also be coded as mission essential.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies. Overtime may be required and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
5. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. Employee may be required to undertake training as directed by management.
