We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
- Managing stock levels using the warehouse management system (SAGE) to track inventory movements
- Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
- Organising stock storage areas, ensuring items are correctly labelled and stored
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain product standards
- Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in warehousing or logistics operations
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (SAGE) or similar software
- Experience in picking & packing, stocking, shipping & receiving processes
- Mechanical aptitude for basic repairs and equipment maintenance
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and load handling over extended periods
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfilment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
