The Role
We are looking for passionate and reliable Support Workers / Bank Staff to join our growing team across Lancashire.
This role involves supporting young people with a range of needs, including:
- Emotional and mental health challenges
- Developing independence and life skills
- Building positive routines and relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to young people in a residential setting
- Support with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting)
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and independence
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with Ofsted standards
- Support young people to attend appointments and engage with services
- Ensure the home operates in accordance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
Shift Patterns
- Day Shifts: Supporting daily routines and activities
- Night Shifts (Waking Nights): Ensuring safety, monitoring, and responding to any needs overnight
- Flexible bank work available to suit your availability
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge or understanding of Ofsted regulations and standards (highly desirable)
- Understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed care
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour professionally
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
