The Role
As part of our kitchen brigade, you'll play an important role in preparing and delivering consistently high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness and organisation.
You'll work closely with the Head Chef and senior team to ensure smooth service and, where appropriate, help guide and support junior members of the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality food to a consistently excellent standard.
- Ensure your section is fully prepared, organised and ready for service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health & safety at all times.
- Follow food safety procedures, stock rotation and kitchen labelling systems.
- Minimise waste and help achieve food cost targets.
- Work efficiently and calmly during busy service periods.
- Support and mentor junior chefs when required.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen environment.
- Follow company procedures and all relevant food hygiene, health and safety legislation.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an experienced Commis Chef or Chef de Partie.
- A genuine passion for fresh food and high standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety practices.
- A positive attitude, reliability and a strong team ethic.
- A willingness to learn, develop and contribute to a successful kitchen team.
