We are currently recruiting for the position of HGV Driver / Scaffolding Labourer to join our growing team.

Headquartered in Birtley, Gateshead, our team is committed to delivering excellent scaffold solutions across the construction, civil engineering, industrial, commercial, and domestic sectors.
This is a dual-role position involving both driving and on-site labouring duties, offering a varied and hands-on working environment.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Scaffold Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on various sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and relevant experience in construction-related tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the construction industry while contributing to safe and efficient project execution.
Responsibilities
- Driving HGV vehicles to transport scaffolding materials to and from sites
- Assisting with loading and unloading of scaffolding equipment
- Supporting scaffolders with erection and dismantling
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining cleanliness
- Working as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Valid HGV Licence (Class 1 or Class 2)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at height
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Valid health and safety certification (e.g., CISRS or CSCS card) is preferred but not mandatory (this is something we would be able to help you obtain).
