This is an exciting opportunity to step up into a senior leadership role within Sutton Health and Care (SHC) for a period of 3-6 months (fixed term).
This interim post as the Planned Care Senior Manager at 8B level, requires a strategic and senior leadership operational fous with performance and financial acumen.
The role, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, will line manage the planned care managers and leaders across SHC to include MSK, respiratory, heart failure, podiatry, neurotherapy, adult early supported discharge, Parkinson's disease and ASLT, dietetics, diabetes, sexual health and HIV.
The role will also be instrumental in driving forward transformational change across teams in relation to the NHS Framework - 78% waiting list target, working closely with SHCs business analyst (line management) and the single point of referral to provide assurance that teams are robustly and actively monitoring their waiting list and on top of their performance in relation to both urgent and routine treatment.
The role will also lead on the digital transformation of the planned care teams; EMIS and iPlato and work closely with the Integrated Leadership Teams Director lead for digital to ensure that SHCs are using digital technology to drive forward improvement in waiting list management.
The successful post holder needs to be ready for an immediate start, with approval from their line manager, and be available to work 5 days a week.
- Be responsible for the good operational delivery (leadership and management) of the planned care teams, BI and single point of referral within the role portfolio
- Take responsibility for transformational development/change management, under the lead direction of the Chief Operating Officer and relevant ICS commissioner
- Take the lead for the digital transformation of planned care teams under the lead direction of the Chief Operating Officer and Integrated Care Lead for digital transformation
- Ensure the 2 services KPIs are achieved in line with the service specification, escalating concerns to the Chief Operating Officer
- Be responsible for budgetary management, recruitment and retention and other aspects of staff and service delivery ensuring the services function at their most efficient.
