Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Cook to manage our kitchen during breakfast service. This is a standalone role where you will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast dishes, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and completing all required kitchen paperwork. While previous experience is desirable, it is not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present a range of breakfast dishes to a high standard.
- Set up the kitchen each morning, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are ready for service.
- Manage breakfast service independently, ensuring food is served promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Clean and sanitise all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces before, during, and after service.
- Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in line with food safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages as required.
- Complete all necessary kitchen paperwork, including temperature logs, cleaning records, and stock checks.
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided).
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment.
- Food hygiene certificate.
