JOB PURPOSE:
Experienced Cook Wanted – Join Our Team!
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Cook to join our team and bring great food to life in our modern kitchen!
You’ll be preparing and cooking delicious dishes for our members, visiting parties and the general public, with plenty of opportunity to showcase your creativity and culinary skills.
A key part of the role will be Sunday lunch, so you’ll need to be available to work Sundays. The remainder of your hours can be arranged flexibly throughout the week or on a Saturday, depending on your preference.
We’d particularly love to hear from someone with experience creating and developing menus, who enjoys bringing fresh ideas to the table and takes pride in producing fantastic food.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Previous experience of working in a professional kitchen.
Knowledgeable, practiced in all aspects of food handling & storage and certified in food hygiene regulations (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Food Safety).
To understand responsibilities in relation to food safety, fire procedures, health and safety, COSSH, infection control and emergency First Aid.
To work in an organised, methodical manner.
The ability to keep calm and solve any issues relating to food production.
Good and confident communicator.
DUTIES:
Preparation of menus for our members day-to-day needs, club functions, visiting parties, booked events (e.g. weddings, funeral, birthdays) and use by the general public (e.g. Sunday lunches).
Work in an efficient safe and economical manner whilst maintaining all relevant health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
To supervise the kitchen assistants in their duties.
To identify staff training needs where necessary.
