We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Workshop Controller to lead the day-to-day operation of our workshop team, to support our significant growth, success and current workshop controller.
This is a key role focused on maximising productivity, maintaining high technical and quality standards, and ensuring every customer receives an excellent experience.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work alongside the current dedicated team to coordinate workshop activity, make the best use of available resources and support colleagues across the business to deliver vehicles on time and to a consistently high standard.

What Youll Be Doing
As Workshop Controller, you will:

Lead the efficient operation of the workshop team, alongside the current management structure, to maximise productivity and workshop sales.

Champion the City West Country culture of quality, excellence and customer care.

Prioritise customer requirements throughout the service operation and support technical enquiries and customer road tests.

Oversee the complete back-of-house customer journey, ensuring work is completed right first time and every opportunity is taken to achieve a Fix First Visit.

Monitor workshop loading and allocate work effectively to maximise available resources and maintain continuity.

Manage resources to deliver a high-quality service on time and support Service Time Management obligations.

Maintain robust workshop quality-control systems and ensure adherence to company standards and the Vehicle Health Check process.

Support delivery of workshop sales and income in line with annual budgets

Ensure warranty and goodwill authorisations meet manufacturer recommendations
What Were Looking For

Previous service experience within the motor industry

Experience in a customer-focused environment

Strong specialist or technical product knowledge

Confident interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

Good administration and IT skills

The ability to plan, prioritise and make sound decisions in a fast-paced workshop environment.
