Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services to ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment across various facilities. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation fans, and related equipment.
- Diagnose issues accurately using schematics and technical manuals; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Lead on-site repair projects, coordinating with other team members or contractors as needed to ensure timely completion.
- Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical faults.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance data for ongoing analysis.
- Support construction or renovation projects by installing new HVAC systems or upgrading existing infrastructure with precision.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience with HVAC.
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system maintenance and repair.
- UK Driving License
- City & Guilds or NVQ 2/3 in refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Unvented Hot Water qualification
- Experience with renewable heating technologies
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Demonstrated expertise in equipment repair, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems, ventilation solutions, and building automation controls.
