Platinum Asset Protection Ltd is establishing a dedicated field maintenance team to deliver a structured preventative maintenance programme across a major national client estate.
We are looking for a hands-on Mobile Preventative Maintenance Supervisor to work as part of the travelling field team. This is not a desk-based management position. The successful candidate will travel with a Maintenance Operative, complete maintenance activities and supervise the quality and completion of each visit.
The programme covers sites throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The role therefore involves regular national travel and extended periods working away from home.
Main responsibilities
- Travel to client sites as part of a two-person maintenance team.
- Lead the team during scheduled maintenance routes.
- Organise the daily visit schedule and ensure all planned sites are attended.
- Complete routine preventative maintenance activities.
- Clean cameras and apply anti-spider treatments.
- Check camera views, housings, warning signage, speakers, power supplies and cabling.
- Complete basic plug-and-play equipment swaps where required.
- Clear light foliage from around cameras and associated equipment.
- Ensure tools, equipment, materials and consumables are available.
- Check that each visit has been completed to the required standard.
- Complete, review and submit accurate maintenance reports.
- Record identified faults and refer technical work to the qualified engineering team.
- Report access problems, delays and outstanding actions.
- Maintain professional communication with client representatives.
- Take responsibility for the condition, security and cleanliness of the company vehicle.
About you
The successful candidate will be practical, organised and comfortable leading a small mobile team. You must be able to work independently, follow a structured maintenance schedule and provide clear written reports.
You will need:
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, property services or another practical field-based role.
- Experience supervising or leading a small team.
- Confidence using basic hand and power tools.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic confidence using mobile reporting systems, tablets or smartphones.
- A full clean UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally and work away from home.
- The ability to complete physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- A professional and dependable approach when working on client sites.
Previous CCTV experience would be helpful but is not essential. Full training will be provided, and technical faults will be referred to the company’s qualified engineering team.
Working arrangements
The role is based from our premises in Morley, Leeds. Some routes will involve day travel, while longer regional routes will require consecutive overnight stays.
Candidates must be comfortable working away from home, including extended trips covering Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, London and the South West.
