Motor Vehicle Technician
Location: Hillington, Glasgow (G52)
Salary: Up to £40,000 basic + bonus (OTE £46,000–£48,000)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy and well-established dealership in Hillington, Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles (including Ford and other brands)
- Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards (essential requirement)
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Completing vehicle inspections and providing accurate repair recommendations
- Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer, company, and safety standards
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date job records
- Supporting and mentoring junior technicians where required
- Delivering a high standard of customer service through quality workmanship
Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Valid MOT Tester Licence (desired)
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards
- Full UK Driving Licence (held for at least 6 months, with fewer than 9 points)
- Previous main dealership experience (desirable but not essential)
