Job Summary
We are a family-run coffee shop in Adderbury looking for some friendly new faces to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for not only coffee, but creating a welcoming & cosy environment for our guests, many of whom are frequent regulars. Due to the nature of our small shop, you would also be expected to get to spend some time back of house, washing dishes and getting to grips with our limited menu, which includes simple brunch dishes & toasties.
Barista experience is desirable although not essential, but a passion for learning & making great coffee certainly is. We provide in-house barista training, teaching the fundamentals of brewing great espresso and steaming & pouring milk to produce a variety of coffee art designs. We also work closely with our coffee supplier, Monsoon Estates Coffee Company, who offer further in-depth training at the roastery.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience in a coffee shop environment, or other background working with a strong customer-focused approach. Most importantly, we are looking for someone to love our little shop as much as we do, bringing real care and attention to detail to their role.
Please note that weekend and weekday flexibility is required for this role.
Duties
- Prepare and serve hot drinks & sweet treats provided by our lovely local suppliers
- Operate tills to take customer orders, printing tickets accurately for coffee & food to ensure orders are received and sent out in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness behind the coffee bar, plus ensuring an adequate supply of clean crockery & cutlery
- Spend time back of house, helping to prepare simple brunch dishes and toasties
- Attention to detail, keeping our little shop looking cosy
- Efficient teamwork, supporting colleagues to keep shifts running smoothly

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
